Fall + Bar Carts + Found Objects

Seeing as we purchased about twenty or so pumpkins last week (no regrets), we decided to share the decorative potential that found objects have in home decor.

Just outside we found tons of leaves, from which we chose the yellow ones, acorns and tall plants with interesting pods.

To continue the "found object" theme, we set up the bar cart under a painting that we made from bark.

Next, we began to experiment with the placement of our objects. As a small accent, we put a single leaf into a plastic, pedestal frame. Then we began to incorporate the rest...

We have had these yellow Billy Balls for over a year. They last forever!

The pod plants gave us the height that we needed to tie the artwork in with the bar cart.

We decided to use mostly glass and white products so that the fall foliage stood out.

Lastly, we covered up those unattractive electrical sockets with another pumpkin and some wicker baskets for texture.

When you are a collector of vintage and antique items, you tend to have a lot of things that can serve as a vessel for found objects. All you have to do is go outside and find them!
